Once again, thanks to NJEdReport for amplifying Sunlight’s research. Of course, to New Jersey’s establishment media, the fact that NJEA Executive Director Ed Richardson was paid $2.5 million in 2019 isn’t news. It’s OK for New Jersey teachers, whose average salary was $76,000 in 2019, to have their highest-in-the-nation dues make Richardson a multi-millionaire. And it’s OK for taxpayers, who pay for teachers’ salaries and dues, to see their highest-the-nation property taxes create special-interest multi-millionaires. Thank goodness for NJEdReport!
