Check out NJ Education Report’s latest.  It’s an excellent recap of all the various facets of Spiller’s conflict of interest.

NJEdReport also makes some strong points: 1) Spiller was trained by the NJEA Political Leadership Academy; 2) in addition to Sunlight, news reporters have mentioned Spiller’s interest in running for governor; 3) Can Spiller serve as Montclair mayor while having the very well compensated, full-time job of being NJEA president?

As NJEdReport foreshadows, NJ citizens will have some serious choices to make when and if Spiller runs for governor.  The NJEA is the most powerful and deep-pocketed special interest in the state and definitely has the capability to get its president elected governor.  But will NJ citizens permit their state to literally be run by a special interest?
