And mentions previous research by Sunlight Policy Center on Mayor/NJEA VP Spiller’s removal from the Montclair Board of School Estimates for his manifest conflict of interest.  Predictably, Spiller has publicly sided with his union in its dispute with Montclair Superintendent Jonathan Ponds over the re-opening of Montclair’s schools.  Just when Montclair needs an un-conflicted mayor it gets the #2 ranking officer in the NJEA.  Rather than leading his town out of the impasse, he is part of the problem.
